Vigilance Court in Kerala granted bail to Unnikrishnan Potti in Sabarimala gold case

In Kerala, Unnikrishnan Potti, the prime accused in the Sabarimala gold case, has been granted bail in the second case as well. The Vigilance Court in Kollam granted bail after noting that the chargesheet had not been filed even after the mandatory 90-day period.

Earlier, Potti had secured bail in another case related to the Sabarimala gold misappropriation. With bail now granted in the second case, the development is expected to pave the way for his release from jail.

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate has launched a raid at a private finance firm in Thiruvalla.  The Head Priest Thantri Kandararu Rajeevararu, who is currently under judicial remand in the Sabarimala gold case, had links with the firm under scrutiny.
