Vice President CP Radhakrishnan paid homage to eminent freedom fighter Subramania Siva on his birth anniversary today.
Remembering him as a close associate of Mahakavi Subramania Bharati and VU Chidambaram Pillai, the Vice President hailed his unwavering patriotism and sacrifice for the nation.
In a social media post, Mr. Radhakrishnan said that despite severe illness and hardships under British rule, Subramania Siva travelled across Tamil Nadu to mobilise support for building a temple dedicated to Bharata Mata.
The Vice President said that Siva’s legacy of courage, sacrifice and devotion to the motherland will continue to inspire generations.
