Vice President C P Radhakrishnan today paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and all the brave freedom fighters who participated in the historic Dandi March. In a social media post, Mr. Radhakrishnan said that the Dandi Satyagraha, launched on this day in 1930 under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, marked a defining moment in India’s freedom movement. He noted that the movement inspired a nationwide spirit of self-reliance through the ideals of Satya and Ahimsa. The Vice President added that as the country works towards building an Atmanirbhar Bharat and strives towards the vision of Viksit Bharat, the spirit of self-reliance inspired by the Dandi March continues to guide the nation’s journey.
