Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan arrived in Bhubaneswar this morning on a one-day visit to Odisha to commemorate ‘Parakram Divas’, marking the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and other dignitaries received the Vice President at the Biju Patnaik International Airport on his maiden visit to the state.

The Vice-President is scheduled to visit the Jankinath Bhawan in Cuttack, the birthplace of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, to mark the 129th birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter. He will also inaugurate the newly constructed District Cultural Building near the Netaji Birthplace Museum Complex in Cuttack. Multi-layer security arrangements have been put in place for the visit of the Vice-President.
