Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan today called upon students to think critically, act ethically, and embrace lifelong learning. He was addressing the 35th Convocation Ceremony of the University of Rajasthan in Jaipur as the Chief Guest.
He encouraged students to remain resilient, learn from failures, and stay grounded in values, noting that excellence without empathy and achievement without humility remain incomplete.
Urging graduates to contribute meaningfully to society, he emphasised compassion, respect for diversity, and commitment to the greater good. He also advised students to stay away from drugs and to use social media responsibly and constructively.
Highlighting the true purpose of education, the Vice-President said that knowledge must be applied for societal betterment, innovation, and ethical conduct. Referring to the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat, he encouraged students to become job creators, innovators, and nation-builders.
Emphasising women’s empowerment, he expressed pride in the achievements of women graduates.
Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, Governor of Rajasthan, and Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa were also present on the occasion.
