Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan Pays Tribute on 150th Anniversary of ‘Vande Mataram’

Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan has extended tributes on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the National Song “Vande Mataram”.
 
 
In a social media post, Mr Radhakrishnan described Vande Mataram as a timeless anthem that awakened the spirit of nationalism and continues to inspire generations.
 
 
He highlighted that the song invokes the Motherland as the embodiment of strength, prosperity, and divinity.
 
 
Mr Radhakrishnan further noted that Vande Mataram emerged as a powerful symbol during India’s freedom movement, rekindling patriotic fervour across the nation and uniting people of all regions, languages, and faiths in one voice of devotion and courage.
 
 
He added that the song stands as an enduring emblem of India’s cultural heritage and civilizational ethos, reflecting harmony between the spiritual and the national, and between the individual and the collective.
 
 
The Vice President expressed hope that the immortal words of Vande Mataram will continue to inspire every Indian to uphold the ideals of patriotism, discipline, and dedication in building a prosperous and harmonious nation.
