Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan calls on youth to work together for India’s 2047 development vision

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan today gave a clarion call to the youth to wake up and work together to achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. Addressing the concluding ceremony of the Sardar@150 National Padyatra at the Statue of Unity, the Vice President hailed the youth as the engine for the country’s growth, stressing that India’s huge young population represents a great national power.

Recalling Sardar Patel’s immense contribution to national unity and nation-building, he urged the youth to imbibe Sardar’s values in their lives. The Vice President also underlined Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to channelise young energy towards character building, innovation, and entrepreneurship through initiatives such as My Yuva Bharat.

The National Padyatra, organised to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, began from Karamsad on November 26, 2025, and successfully concluded at the Statue of Unity today. Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and Union Ministers, including Mansukh Mandaviya, Raksha Khadse, and Rajiv Ranjan Rai, were also present on the occasion.
