Various Ministers congratulate PM Modi on becoming India’s Longest-Serving Head of Government

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the longest-serving head of a government in India, surpassing the record of former Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling. In a social media post, HM Amit Shah described the achievement as a milestone rooted in service, hard work and unwavering commitment. He noted that the Prime Minister has completed 8,931 days in public office, first as Chief Minister of Gujarat and now as Prime Minister. The Home Minister said that Mr Modi’s long tenure reflects a deep dedication to nation-first governance, integrity in action and tireless service to every citizen.
 
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for being the longest-serving head of a government in India. In a social media post, Mr Singh said Prime Minister Modi’s devotion to the nation and its people defines him. He said Mr Modi’s life has been a continuous journey of service, from unwavering commitment as the Chief Minister of Gujarat to his dedicated leadership as the Prime Minister.
 
Union Minister JP Nadda has hailed it as a proud moment for the nation, as Narendra Modi has become the longest-serving head of a government in India, surpassing the 8,930-day record of former Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling. In a social media post, Mr. Nadda said Mr Modi’s journey from serving as Gujarat’s Chief Minister to leading the country as Prime Minister has been truly inspiring. He added that these years reflect Prime Minister Modi’s deep commitment to the nation and his constant focus on serving the people.
 
Mr. Nadda said under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India is progressing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat through people-centric policies that have empowered the poor, youth, women, and farmers. He added that India today stands more confident and influential on the global stage, with Modi’s work focused on putting the nation first and delivering real change on the ground. 
 
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has also congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming the country’s longest-serving head of government, completing 8,931 days in office. In a message shared on social media, Mr. Naidu called the achievement extraordinary, crediting it to the Prime Minister’s dedication, visionary leadership, and commitment to national development. He said the milestone reflects years of continuous service aimed at strengthening India’s growth and global standing.
 
The Chief Minister also highlighted Mr Modi’s long-term vision of building a Viksit Bharat by 2047, calling it an inspiration for citizens and policymakers. He added that the vision provides a roadmap for economic progress, infrastructure expansion, and social development nationwide. Mr. Naidu extended his best wishes, praying for the Prime Minister’s continued health, strength, and success in leading the country toward greater achievements.
