In Uttarakhand, a warning has been issued for heavy rainfall in several regions of the state for today and tomorrow. In view of the alert, all district administrations have been instructed to remain vigilant. According to the Met Department, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at some places in Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat, and Pauri Garhwal districts today. Meanwhile, an orange alert has been issued for tomorrow at isolated parts of Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, and Haridwar districts for heavy rain.

During this 48-hour period, strong winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour are also expected in various parts of the state. The weather department anticipates that this spell of rain may continue in the coming days as well. In light of the warnings for heavy rainfall and strong winds, the general public is advised to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel. The State Emergency Operations Center has also instructed all district administrations to stay alert and take prompt action in case of any disaster. Meanwhile, most parts of the state are experiencing cloudy weather today. All routes leading to the Char Dham pilgrimage remain open and the yatra is proceeding smoothly.
