US President Donald Trump is scheduled to speak at a ‘Shield of the Americas’ Summit today in Doral, Florida.
According to a White House official, over 17 Latin American countries are committed to cooperating with the US in taking on the cartels and securing the American border following the capture of former Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
The official said Mr Trump will also host heads of state from 12 nations across the Western Hemisphere on this occasion.
