Northern Regional Agriculture Conference is scheduled to be held on 24 of this month in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Chouhan today held a meeting with senior officials and issued directions regarding the conference in New Delhi.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare informed that the conference is part of a series of zonal meetings leading up to the National Kharif Conference to be held in New Delhi on the 28 and 29 of next month. It is expected to formulate a concrete action plan for farmers’ welfare, productivity enhancement, and digital transformation in agriculture.
The Ministry said that the conference is aimed at boosting farmer-centric and coordinated agricultural development in the country. The conference will focus on key areas such as agricultural credit, Kisan Credit Card, Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, horticulture, pulses and oilseeds missions, digital agriculture, fertiliser management and marketing reforms.
