The government is also fully active in ensuring LPG supply. Through 4,107 gas agencies in the state, timely delivery of cylinders to consumers is being ensured, and sufficient stock is available. Along with this, in line with the directives of the central government, the expansion of the City Gas Distribution network has been accelerated to provide PNG connections to domestic consumers. So far, 15.94 lakh PNG connections have been issued in the state. Keeping in mind industrial and commercial requirements, the government has allowed conditional supply of up to 70% of commercial LPG.

Priority is being given to hotels, dhabas, restaurants, dairies, food processing units and labour-intensive industries such as the steel, automobile and textile sectors. For continuous monitoring of the situation, 24-hour control rooms have been established at the Food Commissioner’s office as well as in all districts. Additionally, officials have been instructed to carry out regular field inspections to ensure that the general public does not face any inconvenience.
