The Uttar Pradesh government has directed all the District Magistrates to provide an adequate quantity of fertilisers to the farmers as per their requirement. In a special meeting. Chief Secretary SP Goel said that district magistrates should conduct daily reviews to ensure the sale of fertilisers at the prescribed price. Farmers must be provided with receipts after each sale. Strict action should be taken against the tagging of other products with subsidised fertilisers (urea, DAP, NPK, MOP, and SSP). Strict vigilance should be maintained against unauthorised diversion of urea.
