Exams for the 10th and 12th classes of Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, popularly known as UP Board, started today amidst tight security. More than 53 lakh students of classes 10th and 12th are taking part in the exams, which are being conducted at more than 8 thousand examination centres.
The Uttar Pradesh Public Examination Act, 2024, has been implemented to prevent irregularities in examinations and ensure transparency. The state-level control room has been established at 3 central control and command centres, one at Prayagraj and 2 at Lucknow. All the exam centres are being monitored closely with the help of CCTV cameras with an attached voice recorder. A reserve set of question papers has also been arranged for all subjects in case of emergency in all districts and exam centres.
