Unseasonal rainfall, strong winds disrupt normal life in several parts of Gujarat

Unseasonal rainfall and strong winds lashed several parts of Gujarat today, disrupting normal life across multiple districts. The Kutch district was significantly impacted, with heavy spells reported in Nakhatrana, Lakhpat, Abdasa, Bhuj, Mandvi, and Mundra. Similar weather patterns were observed in Rajkot, Junagadh, Dwarka, Morbi, Botad, and Jamnagar in the Saurashtra region. In Bhavnagar, residents faced difficulties due to intense dust storms and whirlwinds, while the Surendranagar district experienced a mini-cyclone early this morning.

Meanwhile, the Aravalli and Banaskantha districts in North Gujarat saw a significant drop in temperature following the arrival of unseasonal rain and cool winds. Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, and Patan also reported high-speed winds throughout the day. Local authorities and the state emergency departments are closely monitoring the situation as the unseasonal weather continues to affect both urban and rural regions of the state.
