Union Power Minister Manohar Lal today released a Commemorative Coin to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) in New Delhi. Addressing the occasion, Mr Lal said that this Commemorative Coin honours its remarkable journey of resilience, innovation and service to the nation. Meanwhile, the Minister also released an NHPC’s Comic Book Chhota Bheem aur Bada Bandh, saying that it has been created to convey the message of the importance and benefits of hydropower to everyone. 

 

The Power Ministry informed that over the past five decades, NHPC has executed landmark hydropower projects in some of the most challenging terrains, while also diversifying into solar, wind and green hydrogen, reinforcing its status as a 100 per cent Green Energy Company.
