Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Tourism- Suresh Gopi today visited Bishnupur district of Manipur and chaired a meeting to review the overall functioning of various line departments and assess the implementation of key government schemes.
The review meeting was held at the Mini Secretariat Complex and attended by Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur district- Pooja Elangbam, Superintendent of Police, senior civil and police officer of the district.
The Union Minister emphasized the importance of further development of Loktak Lake into a world class destination. He also provided constructive feedback to the projects taken up by various departments in the districts and said about the Prime Minister’s dream of a transformed Northeast and stressed that a new and improved Manipur could emerge if people embraced innovative ideas across different sectors.
