Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Urges ICAR to Fill Vacant Posts for Better Agricultural Education

Union Minister of and Farmers Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has asked Indian Council of Agricultural Research, ICAR to fill all vacant positions immediately for improved agricultural education. The Minister made these remarks while addressing the National Agricultural Students’ Conference in New Delhi today.
 
 
Mr. Chouhan said, he would send letters to the Chief Ministers of all states and discuss with their Agriculture Ministers to ensure smooth agricultural education and the prompt filling of all vacant positions.
 
 
He highlighted the importance of providing quality agricultural education in line with the new education policy. The minister also said that Farmers and agriculture have the power to transform the nation.
 
 
The conference saw the participation of agricultural students from across the country, with thousands more joining virtually. The conference also witnessed the presence of agricultural scientists, professors, and senior officials from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and agricultural universities.
 
 
The primary objective of the conference was to ensure the exchange of knowledge, innovation, research, and modern agricultural techniques.
