Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, will participate in the ‘Atmanirbhar Hanol Mahotsav-2026′ in Gujarat today. The festival is being organized at Hanol village, located in the Palitana taluka of Bhavnagar district. The village has gained national attention as a model of self-reliance and rural transformation, developed through the dedicated efforts of Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, who was born in Hanol.
Mr. Chouhan’s visit is aimed at promoting the ‘Hanol Model’ as an inspiring example of Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of ‘Gram Swaraj’ and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Adarsh Gram’ initiative throughout the country.
During the day-long event, the Union Minister will engage in direct dialogues with farmers, women from Self-Help Groups, and the youth to discuss agricultural innovation and the development of a self-reliant village economy. The minister is scheduled to visit various exhibitions and participate in sessions focused on social empowerment and rural development alongside Dr. Mandaviya and other distinguished guests.
