Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted a sapling along with several scientists at PUSA campus under the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign in New Delhi today. Mr Chouhan extended greetings and best wishes to the Prime Minister on the occasion of Prime Minister Modi’s 75th birthday.
Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar also participated in a plantation drive at Bhalaswa landfill site as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. The Minister stressed on the importance of cleanliness and encouraged the youth to promote plantation of trees. Mr Khattar also expressed birthday greetings to the Prime Minister on his 75th birthday.
Meanwhile, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju today carried out a cleanliness drive in New Delhi on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday to spread and promote PM’s vision on Swachhata. Secretary, Ministry of Mines Piyush Goyal today led the Swachhata Pledge as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign in the national capital. The Ministry is promoting cleanliness, green festivities, and zero-waste community celebrations under the theme Swachhotsav.
