Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today formally inaugurated the Saras Ajeevika Food Festival 2025 in New Delhi. Addressing the gathering, the Minister said that the colors of the country’s culture reflects in its food.
Mr Chouhan informed that food representing the culture and vibrancy of 25 states has been showcased at the festival. The Minister also highlighted the motto of the event- taste, self-reliance and indigenous products. He said that Indian cuisine carries the teachings of mothers, the traditions of grandmothers, and memories of the soil.
Mr Chouhan said that the food festival is a moment of pride for Lakhpati Didis. Around 300 Lakhpati Didis and women from Self-Help Groups from across the country are participating in the food extravaganza which will go on till 9th of this month.
Lauding their commitment to working towards their empowerment, Mr Chouhan said that Lakhpati Didis have proven that with their hard work, they have written a new chapter of progress, development and prosperity.
