Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia met with the Federal Minister for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation of Germany, Karsten Wildberger, in New Delhi. The Ministry of Communications said that the meeting was focused on advancing cooperation in telecommunications and digital transformation under the broader Indo-German Strategic Partnership.

During the meeting, both countries reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen cooperation across emerging domains, including 5G/5G Advanced, early engagement on 6G standardisation, network modernisation, including collaboration on secure and sovereign 6G networks and others. The meeting assumes significance since it followed the signing of the Joint Declaration of Intent (JDI) in January this year during the India-Germany Summit.

India and Germany also reaffirmed their shared commitment to building trusted networks, resilient supply chains, and future-ready digital infrastructure through sustained engagement under the JDI framework.
