On the occasion of National Maritime Day, Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal said that India is on the way to become a top 5 global maritime power. In a social media post, Mr Sonowal highlighted that India’s maritime sector is rapidly transforming. He also complimented the National Maritime Day Celebration Committee’s Delhi Chapter and DG Shipping for organising a spirited Inter-MTI Sports Meet and vital blood donation drives to mark the 63rd National Maritime Day. The Minister added that the dedication of the cadets reflects the true spirit of ‘Maritime India – Empowering Progress’.
