Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, today said that the confidence, innovation and ambition of young Indians reflect a decisive shift in how India is being built. Speaking at the National Conclave on Viksit Bharat ka Sankalp aur Yuva in New Delhi, the Minister said that from campuses to nation-building, the country’s youth are powering Viksit Bharat.

On the occasion of National Youth Day, Mr Sonowal noted that the ideas of Swami Vivekananda remain deeply relevant for today’s youth and continue to inspire young Indians to pursue excellence with purpose. Highlighting programmes such as Skill India and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, he said that such programmes are equipping crores of youth not just to seek employment but to become job creators.
