In Jharkhand, the foundation stone for two important road projects worth around 303 crore rupees was laid today. These projects aim to ease traffic congestion and modernise the transportation system.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Sanjay Seth thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, stating that India is rapidly expanding its modern highway network and will become a global leader in road construction by 2047. He said that 1,500 km of road construction work is currently underway in Jharkhand and that the DPR for a 195 km outer ring road has been prepared, which will soon be implemented. He also added that road widening projects in Charhi and Chutupalu have been approved and that the state will soon receive 450 km of new roads, improving connectivity and safety.
Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji said that the expansion of the road network will boost employment opportunities and help curb human trafficking, while various government schemes are also empowering women.
