Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Ramdas Athawale today visited Borkheda village in Dharashiv district in Marathwada region. He inspected the damage to crops. Athvale interacted with farmers on the current flood situation and their financial losses. Farmers expressed their feelings and demanded to declare a wet drought area be declared, citing extensive crop damage. Farmers also reported that soybean fields in the Borkheda area were inundated after floodwaters from the Terna River overflowed.
