Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, said that the India-US trade agreement is being welcomed across the country. He stated that the interests of farmers have been fully protected in the agreement.

He was interacting with livestock farmers on the second day of the three-day 41st Livestock Fair organized at the KDB Mela Ground in Kurukshetra today. He added that the various breeds of animals and agricultural implements displayed at the fair, along with the prize money being given by the government through competitions, will encourage farmers to take up animal husbandry.
