Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, today called on Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan at the Parliament House. In a social media post, the Vice-President said that he was briefed on the Department of Food and Public Distribution’s reforms, technology-driven measures to enhance transparency and strengthen food security.

Mr Radhakrishnan noted the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s rapid expansion of solar and wind power capacity, progress under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, and early achievement of renewable energy targets. The Vice-President also lauded the Ministry’s contribution to energy security, clean energy transition, and towards becoming Viksit Bharat by 2047.
