Union Minister Prahlad Joshi will inaugurate a state-of-the-art Electric Vehicle (EV) Testing Facility tomorrow during an event in New Delhi. In a statement, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution said that the facility will provide EV battery manufacturers, specifically in eastern India, with reliable, internationally recognised testing and certification, ensuring product safety, performance, and regulatory compliance. It added that the establishment of this facility reflects the government’s commitment to creating a robust EV ecosystem, reducing import dependency, and empowering domestic manufacturers with affordable testing services.
