Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal today met a delegation led by Abbott’s Executive Vice President and Group President Lisa Earnhardt. In a social media post, Mr Goyal said that they discussed the company’s operations in India and how the nation provides unparalleled opportunities for manufacturing under the Make in India initiative. He added that they also focused on Abbott’s plans to further scale up its investments in Research and Development and innovation, given the strides India has been making in its growth story.
