Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met Senior Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Barbados Christopher Peter Sinckler in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The meeting was held on the sidelines of 14th Ministerial Conference of World Trade Organisation (WTO). In a social media post, Mr Goyal said that during the meeting both the sides exchanged views on the agenda of the Ministerial Conference, including WTO reforms. He added that both sides also discussed avenues to boost bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest of both countries. Mr Goyal also met UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade Peter Kyle. The Minister said that during the meeting they reviewed progress towards the entry into force of the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement signed between both countries last year. He also acknowledged Mr Kyle’s academic background in rural development.
