To mark the nationwide launch of the  ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ campaign by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal launched the campaign from a polyclinic in Mumbai. The event was attended by Mumbai’s civic chief Bhushan Gangrani alongside a large gathering of female beneficiaries.

 

 

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Goyal said the government is starting off the campaign in Mumbai by distributing nutrition kits to pregnant women and sanitary napkins to girls in municipal schools. 

 

 

In a similar event held at Mumbai’s Yashwantrao Chavan Centre, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH and Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Mr. Prataprao Jadhav and Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde launched the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ and ‘Poshan Abhiyan’ campaigns.
