Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal today extended his greetings to the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) on its 40th establishment day. In a social media post, Mr Goyal said that the organisation has played an instrumental role in promoting Indian agricultural and processed food products in global markets over the past four decades. He noted that APEDA has helped open new international markets for Indian agri and processed food products, creating greater income opportunities for farmers and strengthening the country’s agricultural export ecosystem. The Minister also conveyed his best wishes to the organisation as it continues to expand India’s presence in global agri-trade and contribute towards enhancing rural livelihoods.
