Union Minister of State Review Flood Damage in Punjab, Promise Relief and Long-Term Solutions

Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse, has assured that every affected family will be supported and every farmer’s voice will be heard in the flood-ravaged Punjab, and a permanent solution will be delivered to the state.
 
 
The Minister, who reviewed the flood-affected areas of Patiala district yesterday and interacted with affected families, directed the district administration to prepare a comprehensive damage report so that timely compensation can be extended.
 
 
Ms Khadse assured the farmers that their demands for desilting of rivers, permanent embankments, and urgent repair of the Patiala-Pehowa road would be taken up with the authorities, ensuring both immediate relief and long-term flood prevention measures.
 
 
Minister of State for Agriculture, Bhagirath Chaudhary, who also visited the flood-affected areas of Tarn Taran, assured farmers that maximum compensation will be provided to the flood victims after getting assessment reports from the Punjab government as well as the Central teams.
