Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari today said that education will play a pivotal role for India to become a developed nation. Addressing the 20th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2025 in New Delhi today, Mr Gadkari added that India aspires to become the 3rd largest economy in the world and strengthening the education sector is important towards attaining the goal.

The Minister emphasised that Education is crucial for any country to excel. Mr Gadkari highlighted that India has the largest number of young, talented, trained and skilled engineering manpower in the world. He emphasised prioritising education, research and futuristic development and mentioned that every powerful country in the world is content in these sectors. The Minister urged everyone to work collectively with the Mantra “Waste to wealth and knowledge to wealth” to make India a self-reliant nation.
