Union Minister and BJP election in-charge for Puducherry, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, said that people stand firmly with the development agenda put forth by the BJP. Addressing a media conference at Mahe, Mr Mandaviya expressed confidence that the NDA will secure a massive majority in the Mahe region and will come to power in Puducherry in the upcoming Assembly elections.

 

The minister also conducted a door-to-door campaign for the NDA candidate in Mahe. Meanwhile, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam Chief and actor C. Joseph Vijay criticised both the NDA alliance and the DMK-Congress alliance for failing to grant statehood to Puducherry despite being in power at the Centre for several years. Outlining key poll promises, Vijay said that statehood for Puducherry would be ensured if his alliance comes to power.
