Rajasthan is set to host the endurance cycling event- Tour_de_Thar 2025 in November this year. It will be held in Norangdesar in the Bikaner district of the State on the 23rd of November. Speaking at the curtain raiser press conference in New Delhi yesterday, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya emphasised adopting cycling in daily life as it promotes physical fitness and health and also provides a solution to pollution. Mr Mandaviya said that cycling for him is not a fashion, but it is a passion. He said, holding such an event promotes the passion of the people about cycling.
On the occasion, Union Minister for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal also highlighted the importance of cycling. He said, growing registration for the forthcoming event at Bikaner reflects the interest of the people towards participation.
On the occasion, both Ministers also launched the Tour de Thar jersey, designed around the theme of sustainability and the desert landscape and logo of the event. The event invites cyclists from across the nation and the globe to experience the challenge of the Thar Desert and showcase the power of human determination.
