Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal today launched the Unified Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA) portal at the 5th meeting of the Central Advisory Council in New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Manohar Lal said that the launch of the Unified RERA portal is a major step in strengthening transparency and accountability in the real estate sector. He added that RERA has empowered homebuyers, ensured timely delivery of projects and infused discipline in the sector. He also asked States and Union territories to implement RERA in letter and spirit to protect the interests of citizens.
