Parliamentary affairs and minority affairs minister Kiren Rijuji today visited devastated areas of Bijanbari Block under Darjeeling Hills. While interacting with the victims of devastating disaster, Mr Rijuji said that he will submit a detailed report of devastation caused by incessant rain, flood, and landslides in Hills on the 4th and 5th of October 2025.

 

 

He further said central government in coordination with the state government providing disaster reliefs, more relief, rehabilitation, and relocation works are required. He said the Central Government has strongly stood with the people Darjeeling in these hours of pain and grief. He also paid homage to those who have lost their life during the natural calamity.
