Union Minister Kiren Rijiju congratulated Hillang Yajik, an emerging woman bodybuilder from Arunachal Pradesh, for winning a gold and silver medal at the 15th South Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championships 2025 held in Thimphu, Bhutan. Rijiju, who represents Arunachal Pradesh in Parliament and is a former Sports Minister, praised Yajik’s achievements and offered his blessings and best wishes for her future competitions, including the upcoming Asian Championship.

The Union Minister also lauded the Indian Bodybuilders Federation for its continued efforts in promoting the sport across the country. In particular, he acknowledged the leadership of President Ramesh Kumar Swami and General Secretary Chetan Pathariya, commending their role in nurturing talent and elevating Indian bodybuilding on the international stage.
