Minister of State for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Jitendra Singh today visited an exhibition showcasing India’s achievements in space technology, nuclear energy and strategic minerals in New Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Singh said exhibitions highlighting India’s scientific achievements help ignite students’ aptitude and allow them to discover their intrinsic talent. He advised organisers to arrange visits for school and college students.
He also suggested preparing short social-media versions of the exhibits. The exhibition presented India’s progress in launch vehicles, satellites and human spaceflight missions. It highlighted the country’s launch vehicle fleet, including Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle and LVM3. The LVM3 supports India’s human spaceflight programme.
The exhibition also highlighted India’s future space roadmap. It included plans for human spaceflight systems and an Indian space station called Bharatiya Antariksh Station. The station aims to support long-term human presence in low-Earth orbit and microgravity research. Future lunar and deep-space missions were also featured.
