Union Minister Jitendra Singh Reviews Preparations for India International Science Festival

Union Minister for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh today reviewed preparations for the upcoming India International Science Festival (IISF) in New Delhi. The Minister held a meeting with senior officials and reviewed logistical plans, exhibition layouts, and programme integration across agencies.

Dr Singh instructed all departments to launch a sustained awareness campaign aiming schools and parents to maximise footfall during the festival, which will be held in Chandigarh this year.
During the meeting, the Minister also emphasized the need to handhold and nurture startups by incorporating them into IISF programming, highlighting that they should not be sidelined but placed at the forefront of exhibits and conclaves.

In a statement, The Ministry informed that IISF has evolved into one of the country’s largest science outreach platforms, blending exhibitions, youth forums, startup pavilions, and interactive science theatre to bring science closer to the public.
