Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Dr. Jitendra Singh today discussed issues concerning services, employment and pensions with leading telecom and postal pensioners’ organisations in New Delhi. The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions said that the delegation members conveyed appreciation for the government’s policies, and stressed that the government has generally remained receptive to such representations and engagement.
Participants said the discussion focused on the need for clarity, timely information flow and effective coordination between pensioners’ organisations and the concerned departments. During the interaction, Dr Singh reiterated the importance of maintaining regular dialogue with stakeholder groups, particularly on issues affecting retirees. Calling their insights valuable, the Minister said that inputs from pensioners’ bodies are significant in understanding ground-level concerns and ensuring that administrative processes remain responsive.
The interaction included representatives from the Bharatiya Doorsanchar Pensioners Sangh, Bharatiya Postal Pensioners Sangh and other allied bodies.
