Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare J P Nadda and Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel attended the 21st convocation ceremony of King George’s Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow today. Addressing the event, Union Minister J.P. Nadda said that the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana is the world’s largest health coverage program.
Nadda added that India is meeting not only its own healthcare needs but also those of the world. Pankaj Chaudhary, Union Minister of State for Finance, also addressed the ceremony, praising KGMU as an old institution that has been doing excellent work in the medical field for years. A total of 2,441 students received degrees on this occasion.
