Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy Chairs Consultative Committee Meeting, Emphasises Sustainability and Manufacturing Excellence

Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel, H.D. Kumaraswamy, today said that India is transitioning towards a sustainable future. The Minister said this while chairing the meeting of the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Heavy Industries in New Delhi.
 
During the meeting, Mr Kumaraswamy said that Viksit Bharat-2047 is a comprehensive roadmap to transform India into a premier global manufacturing powerhouse and a high-value export hub. He added that the focus of the initiative is on positioning the country as a critical node in global supply chains through indigenous innovation and large-scale manufacturing excellence. On the occasion, the Minister also reaffirmed the vision of Make in India, Make for the world. 
 
The meeting was attended by Ministry of Heavy Industries Secretary Kamran Rizvi, Niti Aayog Project Director Dr Anshu Bharadwaj, and other officials. The meeting involved a detailed presentation on the progress of Vande Bharat by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), followed by a presentation on Transition to Sustainable Green Energy by NITI Aayog.
