Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, George Kurian, has reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to accelerating development in the Northeast towards a Viksit Bharat. The Union Minister was on a two-day visit to Tuensang district in Nagaland on the 1st and 2nd of March.
Today, he chaired a meeting with the District Administration to assess the implementation of Central schemes and assured the Centre’s support for infrastructure and welfare initiatives in the region. He emphasised that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers are visiting the Northeast to gather feedback and fast-track development.
