Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat assures full support for Himachal Pradesh development

Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, has said that the Central Government is extending all possible support for the overall development of Himachal Pradesh. Addressing a press conference in Shimla today, he said that the Union Budget reflects the government’s commitment to sustainable development and inclusive growth, with a focus on strengthening the capabilities of every citizen.
 
Mr Shekhawat stated that the BJP-led Central Government has restored the special status of Himachal Pradesh. He said that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has presented a budget aimed at building a developed India, ensuring balanced and sustainable development across all sections of society and regions of the country.
 
The Union Minister also emphasised the need for financial discipline among states. He said that the failure to maintain fiscal prudence has resulted in a rising debt burden in several states.
 
The Culture Minister also participated in an intellectual seminar at the State BJP headquarters in Shimla, where he responded in detail to questions from participants. Speaking on the Union Budget, he said that this year’s budget places strong emphasis on job creation and promotion of self-employment. He added that the budget will further strengthen inclusive development, expand employment opportunities, and enhance economic stability.
