Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy launched a Pan-India E-waste recycling drive under the Special Campaign 5.0. The campaign will run till the 31st of this month. The Ministry of Mines said that the e-waste collection drive aims to systematically dispose of unserviceable computers, laptops, printers, LED displays, mobile phones, and other obsolete electronic equipment that have accumulated over time. It added that this initiative will support the objectives of the National Critical Minerals Mission by reducing import dependency and strengthening India’s clean energy transition.
