Food Processing Industries Minister Chirag Paswan has said that the MoUs worth over one lakh crore rupees have been signed during the World Food India summit in New Delhi. He said this will create nine lakh job opportunities across the country. Talking to reporters, Mr Paswan said that the food processing sector has immense growth potential and the summit is providing a platform to showcase the best practices in the processing sector.
The World Food India is showcasing the country’s strengths in the food processing sector, food sustainability and the production of nutritious and organic food. The theme of the four-day event, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday, is Processing for Prosperity.
