Union Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan today inaugurated a three-day international conference at the National Institute of Food Technology (NIFTEM), Kundli in Sonipat district. In his address, Union Minister Chirag Paswan said that to fulfil Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047, agriculture and food processing must be developed to meet international competition through the use of new technologies. He said that to increase participation in the global market, fruits, vegetables, and agricultural products must be produced according to international standards. Delegates from 25 countries are participating in the seminar, which began today at NIFTEM. Vice-Chancellors from several universities across the country are also participating.
